A Little About Me

Therapy is an open, non-judgmental space to come into contact with the complex and challenging aspects of life. Through the process you will begin to know yourself, more honestly and intimately in order to live a deeply meaningful life with clear intention and heart aligned purpose. I hold therapy as a place where my clients can create a spacious and rich dialogue with their inner world to heal, shape and inspire their lives. Our suffering is worthy of our time, our curiosity and our compassionate attention.

Early experiences from childhood, trauma, loss, and tragedy are all human experiences that can separate us from our sense of self and impact our sense of safety in the world and in our relationships.

When we are disconnected from our selves it can manifest in a multitude of ways. Some common examples include: anxiety and fear, shame, depression, anger, grief, stress, rumination, self harm, perfectionism and isolation. It is natural to need the care and support of another to reconnect.

A trusted therapeutic relationship can be the space to risk facing childhood wounds, move beyond limiting unconscious patterns and tend to the painful symptoms that often get left behind after difficult life experiences. In-depth psychotherapy offers the consistency, containment, and time for the process of personal transformation to unfold.

As we work together a hope of mine is to collaborate with you in a empathetic, compassionate and creative way. As your therapist I will bring an integrative framework into the process using a holistic approach to healing, unifying body, heart and mind. I believe it is important to honor, understand and integrate the various dimensions of our beings in order to heal. I come to this work with an open heart and a profound faith in the process. Ways of exploring include talk therapy, journaling, mindfulness practices, and other techniques that can help explore ones life, ones self and create meaning along the journey of life.

I invite people of all backgrounds and life experiences to this work, and have particular interests in working with individual adults and adolescents. My work is informed by my background and study of relational psychodynamic psychotherapy and somatic based healing modalities.
