A Little About Me

I practice relational, embodied psychotherapy with an emphasis on the here-and-now. I believe we can trust that all of our stuff—including what’s ready to be looked at in a new way, and available for change—is right here with us in the room.

As human creatures we become experts in our particular ways of moving through the world. Our environments shape us; and the people we interact with inscribe us, too. Change sometimes requires us to reckon with the unconscious patterns we have developed, moving between the conscious and unconscious realms and experimenting with new ways of being.

Therapy is a particular kind of somatic practice. Together, we will get curious and engage in world-building to create the places you want to inhabit; moving at your pace, we will explore an expanded sense of presence and aliveness.

In addition to my clinical training at the California Institute of Integral Studies, I have a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Chicago. My research focuses on embodiment, and the ways our experiences build up over time to make us who we are.

My way of practicing therapy is ever-evolving, but is currently most influenced by: the Hakomi method, interpersonal neurobiology, and play therapy.

I specialize in neurodivergence (expansively defined, and non-pathologizing), navigating life transitions, and healing relationship to self. I tend to work best with people who identify as lifelong learners.

I am a queer white neurodivergent woman who grew up on the east coast. My approach to therapy is influenced by my identity and experience as a dancer. I have also spent time working in academia, arts non-profits, and tech startups.

I see adults and teens in-person in San Francisco or via telehealth if you are located anywhere in California.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation so that we can meet and begin to understand if working together will be the right fit. If you have the impulse to reach out, I would love to hear from you.
