Madison Parikka
M.A. Counseling Psychology - The Wright Institute
Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #150413
Supervised by Margaret Goodwin, LMFT #103426

I see therapy as a coming together, an exploration, and a place to look inward - to see and be seen.
As a therapist, I am warm, curious, and non judgemental. I am interested in challenging you gently, exploring different perspectives, and supporting you in zooming out and tuning in. My approach is deeply compassionate, sometimes whimsical, and tailored to your needs and goals. I believe in the inherent wisdom of the mind, body, and spirit, as well as the power of nature and creativity in healing and growth. It is an honor and a privilege to work with fellow humans in this way.
My areas of experience and interest include identity, only children, complex or unusual family systems, creative hobbies and careers, queer parents, death, grief, hospice and end-of-life, pre-commitment couples counseling, the Enneagram, competitive equestrian sports, boundaries, food service, parent/teen dyads, theater, navigating higher education, and the general challenges of being a person.
I received my BA in communication and studio art from Cal Poly Humboldt, and my MA in counseling psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California.
