I use a heart-centered approach to facilitate a sense of freedom and compassion for all that is inside you. I'm a Level 3 Internal Family Systems practitioner and a Professor in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at University of California San Francisco where my current research is on Internal Family Systems. IFS is a method for going inward and getting to know and welcome all parts of you. We all have a creative power within us that is our birthright, that knows how to heal and that cannot be damaged. In my work, I help you connect with that power inside yourself.
I specialize in issues of anxiety, career, shame, trauma, parenting, grief, and relationships. I help people to reach their sense of freedom, creativity, and joy. I affirm all different racial, gender, and sex identities. I have experience providing relationship therapy for monogamous, ethically nonmonogamous, and polyamorous couples. I also offer 2-hour intensive IFS sessions to deepen into knowing and healing parts that have difficulty being approached in the standard one hour of psychotherapy.
