I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) passionate about uplifting neurodivergence, disability justice, queerness, and meaningful relationships with our nervous systems. Historical perspectives and divergent narratives are the context for my practice, honoring the beautifully complex nature of what it means to be human. I've worked with clients navigating experiences such as nervous system (dys)regulation, identity exploration, (un)masking, perfectionism, chronic pain/illness, attachment wounds, repetitive thoughts, and religious trauma. Many of my clients have felt feelings to an overwhelming extent and struggle with this important part of them either shutting down or staying on overflow. Somatic techniques are one of my go-to modalities for trauma and sensitivity after witnessing the power of the bodymind in healing time and time again. I also include other approaches like psychodynamic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, Gestalt, or parts work--your needs guide how we journey together.
After having an unexpectedly positive experience in therapy many years ago, I have a strong desire to utilize my clinical privilege to address your experience from a non-pathologizing lens. I am a neurodivergent, autistic, ADHD experiencing, femme queer raised in the U.S. south. The queer, disabled, and neurodivergent communities and movements I take part in and learn from inform how I hold therapeutic space.
