A Little About Me

We all desire to be loved and seen. When we don’t have that as children, it affects how we operate as adults in our relationships. Although we can’t go back in time, becoming aware of our hurts and scars in therapy can help us heal going forward. Therapy is often an unwinding of the self in front of a compassionate caring witness. To meet oneself in this context can be the start of making changes to live with integrity and have a more loving relationship with yourself--this love ripples outward to our other relationships. I accept people as they are and appreciate the unique adaptions that helped them survive life’s tough situations. But I’m interested in helping you get past survival mode and start thriving in your one precious life.
My clients are people who want to explore how to take action toward the changes they desire. I am honored to be their witness, to hold hope for more self-love and compassion, and to ask some of the tough questions we sometimes need to face. Luckily, with the tears, there can also be laughter. My clients find me to be interactive, down-to-earth, and caring.

Women's life changes from birth to menopause (and everything in between!)are rich and fertile times for growth and therapy can be a grounding place to meet yourself in your transition. As a former doula and childbirth educator, I love working with women who need to process any aspect of their birth and parenting experience.
For couples who are in need of a bilingual therapist (Spanish), I have long-term experience in multicultural marriage and family issues.
Parents who are dealing with difficult diagnoses with their children, such as a chronic illness or condition, and people/children who have experienced medical trauma need an empathetic, experienced, and understanding therapist. I have been in the trenches and have insights and immense compassion for grief, anticipatory grief, and trauma from diagnosis.

Please contact me so we can make time to chat and see if we are a good fit for working on your needs together.
