M.A. Somatic Psychotherapy
Janine Morris

Welcome! I'm shallyn. I'm a queer, non-binary therapist offering gentle somatic therapy to individuals, teens, and relationships using a relational, collaborative, and contextualized lens.
My practice specializes in serving folks who have not historically had easeful relationships with their bodies, folks whose bodies have not necessarily felt like a resource. This can look like grappling with your relationship to and/or society’s relationship to:
-queerness & gender identity
-burnout, overwork, & career transitions
-growing up/becoming [an “adult”]
-messiness
-chronic pain & illness
-attachment patterns
-relationship models & transitions
-oppression trauma
-anxiety, depression, & PTSD
My hope is that the healing container we make together will be a space where you can start where you are (as the world’s expert of your own lived and felt experience); where you can notice and honor what your body is already doing to heal and protect itself; where you can exist beyond stifling binaries and norms in messy, unfolding relation to your body, yourself, your human and beyond human kin, and the natural and unnatural worlds you inhabit.
In my practice, contradictions, paradoxes, and dissonance are held sacred. Here, there is reverence for all the multitudes of you, every you that you had to be to find yourself here today. Here, survival strategies are treasured, not pathologized. Here, what’s “in the way” is the way.
