A Little About Me

My work is grounded in helping people feel more like themselves, more connected in relationships, and less anxious or depressed. Together we can work to understand parts of you that may feel lost, stuck, or in pain, find new ways of relating to yourself and to others, and help you come into a more full sense of who you are. Often people who come to work with me seek support in resolving past trauma—both major traumatic events as well as more ordinary early relational experiences that have limited their sense of what’s possible.

No matter what brings you in, together we can attend to what causes you suffering or gets in the way of living fully, as we work to enhance a sense of well-being from within. My goal is to offer a safe haven where you feel understood, confront your joys and sorrows, and get the support you need to develop a more full and meaningful life.

My style of psychotherapy is warm, accepting, interactive, and emotionally focused. Our emotions reveal us to ourselves—they tell us what’s important to us and how we’re impacted by the world. Ignoring emotions leads to stress, disconnection from ourselves, and difficulty finding joy and meaning. I can support you not only in bringing awareness and curiosity to your thoughts and feelings as they unfold, but also in listening to how your body can inform you. Using holistic methods that deepen the mind-body connection, I support individuals and couples to identify what keeps them stuck or in distress, and discover ways to heal and grow. Engaging in depth work, we can collaborate to uncover and transform deeper-set patterns that no longer serve you.

Finding a therapist can be daunting. To support your selection process, I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation. I invite you to reach out to talk about what you are looking for in therapy, and assess if we could be a good fit.
