A Little About Me

This may seem to be a challenging time. Growth can feel like that: a challenge, an obstacle, even a form of grieving, or suffering. Whatever's happening for you, using your own awareness, and having a conversation about that can be resourcing. Taking things one moment at a time, I'm curious to hear what you're facing at present. My invitation is to talk about whatever's happening for you now— we can choose where to go from there. It's a simple approach: I attune to you, invite your own awareness, and ask what you feel willing to reflect. I'm open to listening.

My lens for counseling is a faith in each person's inherent resilience, and their ability to make sense of self, relationships, and environments. I'll often invite a question like, 'what are you aware of now?' & 'what's is your experience of this moment?' We can begin to practice navigating what choices arise from present-moment awareness: patterns, memories, wants, needs, boundaries... whatever experience arises can offer choices of how to be who you want to be. Change can happen in that type of relationship.

I've honed an awareness-based approach from a seven-year foundation of meditation, breath work, pattern recognition, and a sense of curiosity about living this life. Supporting that is a ground of belief in common recovery principles: attunement, a sense of choice, trauma-informed care, & each person's innate resilience. Our growth as a species is an evolution in psychology happening one person at a time... all over our planet.
