Matt Ahrens
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist #115372

Psychotherapy is a gift we give to ourselves. That hour we set aside each week that is just for us to explore our inner worlds - our mental self, our emotional self, our sensate self, and our spiritual self - as well as our external lives - relationships, family, home, career, and community. As your therapist, the relationship we develop will be the vehicle we use to navigate this exploration. We'll find the right pace that feels both safe and productive. We'll work in the present moment and be with whatever emerges.
I work with individuals and couples who are experiencing unresolved trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, addictions, relationship issues, life transitions, and a variety of other psychological concerns. My style is collaborative, curious, and accepting; incorporating a number of different therapeutic approaches - integrating mind, heart, body, spirit - so I can adapt to your individual wants, needs, and personality.
I received a Masters Degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I am also a certified coach, mediator, and Enneagram teacher. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist I earned and MBA and gained professional experience in business, government, and nonprofits.
I enjoy working with clients from all walks of life.
